~The goal was always to get the state legislatures to certify Trump alternate (competing) slates of EVs.

-It appears the Trump team really want this and Cruz's request of a 10 day suspension buys more time.

-Understand, the Legislatures reconvene next week.

-Sooo, now there is no excuse for NOT taking up the legislation (petitions to decert), IF the Congressional rules are suspended which would require an act of Congress.

-Unless, as I've been saying since November 13, the VP just unilaterally dismisses the contested state slates.

-But this would require him to also declare the ECA unconstitutional, or inapplicable, since the ECA is what requires the "count" to take place (or begin) on 1/6.

-Buys time for the GOP SLs.

-Whatever path is chosen, it's going to be interesting.
