anyways louis’ songs are considered “louder” than harrys because louis writes in more of a storyteller perspective. he talks about concrete events and memories he’s had and writes about it. harry writes about things that are abstract, he talks about feelings and emotions, and +
+ on top of this, he likes to use metaphors. for example, i personally don’t believe she is about a woman, i think it’s about his feminine side. but in the song, he refers to the feelings he has as ‘she’, which would obviously make someone believe it’s about a woman. +
+ “she lives in daydreams with me” is a line i believe to be what he wishes he could be or express, but the following line “i don’t know why, i don’t know who she is” is him not being able to recognize himself or see himself being able to show that side of him. i’ve seen a lot +
+ of people think that harry doesn’t write much love songs, but i believe he’s written a lot. for example, sunflower vol. 6, probably the most romantic song on fine line. the song is about falling in love all over again with someone, and not being able to convey the love +
+ to the other person, it’s still hard to even say how much you feel for them even after all the time that has passed together with them. here’s my fav breakdown of the song:
notable mention: “i’m still tongue tied”. after all of this time loving this person he still can’t even express his love for this person. (also i feel that it’s a reference to the lyric in two ghosts, “tongue tied like ive never known”)
falling isn’t a break up song or about +
+ cheating, it’s about him falling back into a place where he doesn’t want to be, a place that he doesn’t feel happy or comfortable with himself.

for all of harrys songs, this is a theme. lots of metaphors and lots of feelings and emotions (as well as give prns to the +
+ feelings). i think this just leads to the common opinion that l’s louder, and i’d agree that he gives the more of the blatant hints within his songs and explanations (whereas h likes to leave things up for interpretation), i think that h is just as loud if you take the time to+
+ break it all down.
