let’s say an Angeleno gets laid off in April & can’t pay their $2800 rent.
some citizens have still not received their unemployment checks.
they owe nine months of back rent & the County’s eviction moratorium ends on 1/31 unless extended.

if it isn’t extended & they’re still unemployed bc nobody is hiring, what happens?
what happens when they finally are employed & they owe several months, a year or years(?!) of owed rent? how do they survive?
what if they get evicted and become unhoused?

four unhoused folx die every day under @MayorOfLA’s lack of leadership. these deaths could be mitigated if he & the City Council simply commandeered these otherwise empty hotel rooms that are subsidized by public money.
