this thread is just me speculating what might happen in the future.

i think looking at the 296 panels and seeing afo controlling shigaraki’s body to get his original one back from prison seems like the perfect way to end part 1 of mha.

since the society is in shambles and almost all the top 10 heroes are going through it in some way or other, a time skip where the future generation of heroes are more developed makes more sense. i’m thinking afo will take that time to develop shigaraki even more.

even if deku ends up facing afo and shigaraki both, one thing is for sure that he won’t make the same mistakes as all might. he won’t put that burden all on himself. he’ll have people supporting him. bakugo and other heroes, i think that’s why he’s says —

“this is how i become the greatest hero” and not number 1 because he might meet a tragic end but he along with his classmates will redevelop the hero society, where no hero is placed alone with their own standards. all of them work together to bring down the evil.
