A massive £800 billion is missing from official measures of wealth - all held by the very wealthiest families. Top finding from the first @resfoundation paper of 2021
The result? The share of total wealth held by the top 1% is almost a quarter (23%) not less than a fifth (18%) as previously thought
What’s going on? In a shock move the very richest families aren’t keen to fill in official surveys... but we can get a sense of how much wealth is missing as a result by looking at other data sources like the @thesundaytimes rich list
