Children are not a hobby, accessory, or a vehicle for your ambition. I wish more adults realized they don't like kids before they became parents. It is mostly wealthy people who do end up doing this. The kids are filled with rage and guilt for not being what their parents wanted

As a teacher, it is really horrible to watch kids try and be someone they are not because their parents love is conditional. They mostly blame themselves.

I deleted my original tweet because someone came into my mentions to accuse me of blaming poor people and not the system. I'm not sure where they got that from, but I do want to apologize to anyone I hurt with my first tweet.

Since the US doesn't have M4A (yet) there are a lot of folks who have become parents suddenly. I'm not speaking about them, because I don't have the right. This is about rich people who deliberately have children to be accessories.

2020 has been a really hard year for children. They are isolated, and traumatized. Kids are still developing the skills to understand and communicate their emotions. It is criminal for adults to shame kids for “being difficult” or failing to meet their expectations.
