Many trolls or ‘apolitical’ folks often ask ‘Shias are part of the govt, state & media, why would the state kill Shias then?’ The answer is simple; those Shias (or any group/ethnicity) are meant to defend the vicious polity i.e. the state. The case study here is Shireen Mazari

Hazara killings, as said by the former chief justice, are ‘tantamount to wiping out an entire generation’. And here are some of the tweets by her before coming to power.

However, in Dec 2019, S. Mazari told Mehdi Hasan that "Shias are not an oppressed minority, NOT AT ALL". She labelled #HazaraGenocide, targetting killings of Shia professionals (doctors, lawyers, profs) as 'sectarian' giving the impression that both sides are killing each other.

Mazari had agreed that failure of the state is one of the main reasons of killings but soon she became herself a part of the state, she now does everything what her predecessors used to do. So those Shias in influential places are more committed to the state than their own ppl.
