The Radical Feminist group @radicailin launched their successful online campaign #WomanIsNotADirtyWord August 23. They started a petition the following month that got 1,553 signatures. Another campaigner spoke out on @rteliveline which brought the issue to the mainstream & /2
We launched with our action at the @HSELive HQ in September (ABOVE) The tweet went viral & was seen by 64K people. The accompanying press release was sent to every news outlet. We kept up the pressure & officially submitted to the process in Dec.

The idea that it was an organisation that believes a woman is " anyone who identifies as a woman" could possibly be fighting to have the word 'woman' put back is risible. Please report this story accurately. It is the story of an emerging wave of grassroots feminism in Ireland/4

And then @Ire_LGBAlliance all launched in a matter of weeks last Autumn. We are the groups who collectively represent women on the ground in Ireland. We alone are calling out the harm being done by trans activism. It is not just insulting to call women "anyone with a cervix", 5/
It is not only dangerous. The push for 'uterus-havers', 'vulva-owners', 'vagina-owners', 'menstruators', 'people who bleed', 'pregnant people', 'birthing parents' & 'chest-feeding' is a conscious push to sever us from our biology. It erases Structural Inequality & Sexism /6
If anyone can get pregnant/'chestfeed' then the ensuing discrimination does not happen only to women. Likewise, if you concur as our government does, that a man can simply declare he is a woman by filling out a form to become a woman "for all purposes''( ie access all areas) /7
