Had to move my records out of my son's room and into my office. So set up the turntable and gonna play one a day.
First up.
Day 2. Growing up as a townie in the Merrimack Valley, one had to bend the knee to Aerosmith and the Boston Bruins.
Day 3. The openings of "same old song and dance" and "train kept a rollin'" have a long half life - released 45 years ago and still like shots of adrenalin
Day 4. This one was recorded in a warehouse about 1 mile from my house!

More ominously, my wife is rapidly losing patience with the Aerosmith portion of my midlife reverie.
Day 5. OK, this is the last Aerosmith. Honestly, the best thing about this album is the Al Hirschfeld cover art.
Day 6. Allman Joys, early band of teenagers Duane and Greg Allman
Day 7
Day 8. Nearing the heart of music I'll always love. This album signaled that the Allman Brothers were for real. Duane told Gregg that his guitar playing wasn't good enuf. Gregg's plan b was to be an oral surgeon, but he gave keyboards a shot, and made music history.
Day 9. Sssh. <whisper> We're in the inner sanctum, the most revered albums that are beyond reproach

Duane the leader died in a bike crash and it looked like the band would too

Then this

Originally Eat a Peach for Peace, the Allman Brothers toured for Jimmy Carter later on
Day 10. Another sublime album, so good that the iconic Ramblin' Man is arguably the worst song. Even more improbable since it was cut after the death of bassist Berry Oakley, also in a motorcycle crash. Oakleys daughter is on the back cover.
