Social media culture is actually ruining the mental state of young adults and nobody is really talking about it. There is no greater form of pressure than the one created by social media.
You’d be 22 and feel like you are wasting your life because you can’t afford a Mercedes.
It creates this unnecessary feeling to compete.
Your lineage doesn’t have any affiliation with old money but somehow you’ll get broke shamed because you don’t own a home at 24.
You are under an invisible ton of pressure that I’m afraid you can’t avoid.
Everyday you see your mates succeeding and even though you are trying your best, it’s just never enough.
Just look at my generation, a 20 yo can’t just be a broke student living off their parents, everybody is crazed with the “extra income” mentality. Everyone is starting and
maintaining struggling businesses, everyone is trying to meet financial targets at the age of 19/20/21, everyone wants luxury items, everyone is gone mad with “steady income” at such a young age, combined with school pressure. Why won’t we break? Why won’t we crack?
No one is relaxed, no one is breathing, no one is living their age, everyone has gone insane.
Guy, take a break, relax, there is still time, 30 is not a deadline. You still have your whole life ahead of you.
This is just the financial aspect,do you know how many of you have body insecurities because of Instagram? 🙂
We are actually finished
