A previous master of the South Pembrokeshire hunt saying “I think the world has moved on” is a courageously bold take. Tip ‘o the hunt cap to you, Mr SoS! @Simonhartmp @NationCymru @SianGriffiths6 https://twitter.com/siangriffiths6/status/1345619140640464897
Not a direct connection of course but hardly a sign of ‘no divisions’ on the subject... https://www.itv.com/news/wales/2018-07-02/more-than-half-of-people-do-not-want-severn-bridge-to-be-named-after-prince-charles-poll-reveals
I would never presume to speak for Wales and I would hope that you as the voice of Westminster gov in Wales would not presume that either.
I have nothing but respect for William as an individual from what I know of him and I’m sure if he is, as you say, “incredibly conscious of Welsh history and culture” as an honourable man he would see how problematic the title of Prince of Wales can be.
Perhaps from your position you might suggest he take part in some kind of public discussion with myself, or others more qualified, about those problems and some possible resolutions. He could then bring all that sensitivity about our history & culture to bear?
