Malcolm James McCormick, mainly known as Mac Miller, was a rapper from Pittsburgh, in the USA and in my opinion was one of the best artists that we ever got to see in a while. he tragically passed away on September 7th 2018 due to an overdose but his music will live forever.

between this and K.I.D.S, mac was making a lot of dark music and he wanted to go back to making happy music and so he did with this great album. beloved from fans and critics, this album is nothing but straight vibes and he’s really in his element here mentally.

this is the album that in my opinion ascended mac from a rapper to an artist. this album of “water” songs as he’d call them, is one of the best of the last ten years. the jazz influence is pure. he displays a great sense of vulnerability but it’s so beautifully done.

gone but never forgotten. i didn’t believe it at first. i watched this man grow and blossom as an artist and then suddenly he passed. it was very unexpected and emotions were raw at the time across the music world.
