I think Trump’s lasting legacy will have been to make America honest in international affairs. For almost 70 years America played a covert role in the world, one that no nation had ever played before. We ordinary Americans now see just how truly awful it was. We now understand.
In fact, Trump has revealed also the crazy levels of dishonesty in the practice of law and medicine and in technology and financial services. Astounding circumstances of deceit have been exposed. Too many people had their heads in the clouds, including me, during the Obama years.
Finally, U.S. President Trump gave us invaluable awareness of the true nature of the media industry and of Hollywood and their covert collaboration with the so-called “intelligence community,” who are not in the business of spying, but in the covert action of influence.
For somebody who the media calls “the most dishonest President in American history,” Donald Trump has somehow exposed the main sources of dishonesty in the country. Hallelujah.
U.S. President Trump has no less than given the oppressed both an education and a language, critically necessary for a voice to reject oppression.
