We spend ZERO on utilities every month.

It's not *just* about solar.

Here's how.

++ THREAD ++
1: A well-built home

Our home is 100% cinderblock. Well insulated. Virtually indestructible short of a tornado. It keeps the cool air in during the summer and cold air OUT during the winter.

Live in a well-built home, not a McMansion.
2: No electrical grid-tie

No powerlines on our property. Not a one.

We provide 100% of our power needs with almost 4,000 watts of solar power on property. Solar is clean, silent, and renewable.

Renewable energy will change your life.
3: In-house lithium batteries

After dark, we have the power to run a refrigerator, external freezer, TVs, computers, etc. We can charge our cell phones, cameras, and anything else.

Batteries replace powerlines after the sun goes down.
4: Rainwater collection

We collect thousands of gallons of rainwater every year.

Gutters and PVC pipes funnel water straight into water storage tanks for use inside the house. We filter three times before drinking.

Use your environment.
5: On-site septic

We collect waste via a septic system. It's clean. No smell.

And best of all, no sewer bills.
6: Acreage

We have almost 10 acres in the Arizona desert. We have the space to do what we want.

Tight neighborhoods don't offer any cost or construction flexibility.

Buy a bigger piece of the pie.
No, we don't feel lonely or isolated.

In fact, we like the silence. No traffic. No screaming kids. No honking horns.

People look out for each other out here.

Doubt I'll ever move back into a neighborhood again.
