1/ On NYE I wrote a COVID19 vaccine FAQ on @Facebook impromptu. I expected 2 or 3 shares, but now it's at 514 across Asia, Europe & the US!

I've been told it's very laypeople-friendly & scientist friends find it a useful ref to share.

I've decided to keep it Facebook-oriented. Others have done awesome scicomm on Instagram+Twitter that I'll share. Facebook remains a separate beast where a balanced scientific voice is lacking yet worried family audiences are highest.
3/ Of course I was afraid trolls would descend on me and harass me, but amazingly after 514 shares I have only gotten praises, thanks and encouragement. It gives me so much hope that many still want to believe and support scientists even if they rarely shout about it! 🙏🏼
4/ I'm sure we'll need updates, my writing isn't perfect, etc. but I hope it inspires the public to consider talking to professionals who are on their side. I hope it also gives strength to tired scientists to engage in what can be a scary, toxic platform - it DOES pay off!
