Some thoughts on watching in the ground yesterday:
Celtic ‘sledge’ more than any other team I’ve watched BCD. Seems to be a deliberate tactic to wind the opposition up. Rangers equally determined to ignore them and were very pointedly doing so when communicating with each other.

The Managers: SG was very calm throughout. NL was like a cat on a hot tin roof from kickoff. After around a minute he went mad at 4th official and that set tone. He was constantly looking to get over to the Rangers bench. SG kept an eye on it and intervened when NL attempted it.
Celtic’s pressing first 30 mins kept Rangers penned in and Gers struggled badly to beat the press. However the pace of it gradually tailed off and it was very noticeable in 2nd half. Rangers again appeared fitter team over the 90 minutes.
The substitutions worked far more in Rangers favour. Gers strengthened key areas while Celtic removed threats. Edouard clearly didn’t fancy thankless role as lone striker in a 10 man team despite loud exhortations from his bench to work harder.
At end, Rangers were noticeably calm in response bar the usual high-fives etc. NL wanted to get to ref but most Celtic players looked disappointed rather than angry.
All in all, it looked like an old boxer who’s lost a step trying to use experience to get past a younger, stronger opponent. However, the opposition wouldn’t allow themselves to be dragged into it and stuck to their guns.
