Many falsely believed APS Attack would be a wakeup call for the military to discontinue its support to religious militancy. But there is a mindset within the military that still think religious militancy could be used to counter nationalists in Balochistan

Balochs have been saying for years that ISIS is being GIVEN the space in Balochistan and many terror outfits are regrouping. These groups work as a death squad for the military against Balochs fighters and also help to establish that the real issue is religious extremism there

As a result, Shia Hazaras bear the brunt of the military’s ferocious policy of containing nationalists by/through using these monsters. The state downplays Baloch struggling by unleashing violence against Hazaras.

So the question is: who is responsible for today’s killings of Hazara miners? A few monsters who are just doing what they are asked for or those within the state who are orchestrating this bloodshed?
