So, what are the #top5 things #Japan can do in 2021 to improve #Sustainability
My Top-Sustainable-Tips
1) #reusable containers w #refill infrastructure for food + drinks for consumer options to reuse everything
Investment at first, then big cost savings + waste reductions
2) At least 1 #Vegan #plantbased main options at every eatery as a rule would be a game changer for #Tourism + appeal more to international talent for work + study
The meat, dairy, fish industry is not sustanable for people, planet or profits Need more farming for #foodsecurity
3) 100% composting for all kitchen and food waste rule for all businesses and residents in collaboration with local farms, forests
Composting reduces waste by 30% at homes + businesses - huge cost savings across the country as well as better quality soil = enhance local produce
4) #SOLAR mandatory 4 every new build house, condo, company + incentives like FIT brought back to encourage existing building owner investment #renewableenergy #wind #geothermal #SOLAR priorities for energy self-sufficiency at biz/residences where needed without powergrid strain
5) Audit: take honest look strengths + weaknesses of every lifestyle, home, business, school + community & try out ideas for improvement, reassess, discuss, try again = improve quality of life + environment w better options
Biz-as-usual + one-size-fits-all strategies ineffective
