Lots of debate as to whether schools should open & are safe to open in light of the current situation. One factor is our risk appetite / tolerance. Do we want zero risk? Quite an emotive topic & parents would naturally say yes.

But is zero risk realistic, proportionate & necessary? We live with some risk all the time. @sunilbhop has written on this & provides data showing relative risks of Covid deaths in children vs other causes just to give some sense or proportion.
