And me, Director of an MLB team. Wild. Those days are long over for me, but what a ride.
Hours studying theory, "job" available 24/7/365 if you want it, risk / probability analysis, psychology, cultivating relationships, adapting to new tech - all learned skills by most pro gamblers.

But perhaps none more relevant than making hard decisions under time pressure.
Are the best leaders intelligent, knowledgeable, charismatic, great communicators, and everything else in biz books? Sure.

What is overlooked is the willingness to make hard decisions w/ incomplete info; to not shy away. To be aggressive. And learn from results iteratively.
