I remember after I graduated from university my heart was set on studying at the Islamic University of Madinah, I was obsessed and constantly made Dua. It was me and my friends dream and we always talked about studying with the scholars in Madinah.
One day me and my friend was in the library, he was in final year so he still had studies and I was applying for graduate jobs. At this time we both was in the process of applying and attaining all the documents we need before sending out our applications.
Then we leave the library, as soon as we leave a Arab man approached us on the street and introduced himself to us and asked how we were and if we lived in the city. Then I asked him where he’s from, surprisingly he said he’s from Saudi Arabia and lives in Madinah.
He was studying in the UK for his PHD. We were pulled back when he said hes from Madinah since we both haven’t met someone from Madinah. I then informed him that we both applied for the Islamic University of Madinah and really want to study there. The man smiled and replied...
That he’s a master graduate from the Islamic University of Madinah and now lecturers there, however he’s been sent by the university to the UK to obtain a PHD. Me and my friend was surprised when he told us this. He then took our numbers & ...
Provided us with Madinah stamped references from himself and a colleague from the Islamic University. Me and my friend was very grateful to Allah, because now we was very optimistic in being accepted at the university. From that day we became close friends and always visited him.
The man then informed us if we want the best chance in getting accepted we should go do a face to face interview. So me and my friend booked to go umrah in the following month. Which itself was a blessing since it was our first time.
After completing umrah and then travelling to Madinah, Me and my friend had our interview scheduled however the man informed a colleague he worked with at the university to meet us at Masjid of the prophet ﷺ, and to take us there.
We then arrived at the University of Madinah and was in love with everything we was seeing, we then got interviewed together with the man that took us to the interview and a interviewer. Straight after the interview we was informed we will be accepted and this was a shock to us
Since the norm is you do the interview and then have to wait months/years to be informed if you have been accepted. Right of the bat we was told so we was very grateful to Allah in making the process so easy and this wouldn’t of been possible without constantly making Dua.
Alhamdulilah me and my friend hope to start studies at the Islamic University of Madinah after Hajj Inshallah.
