Over the past 3 years for my @DLDEdResearch #SLPhD I've read a lot of ways researchers are deciding inclusion/exclusion for #DevLangDis in studies. Mainly focussed on standardised Ax results, but I want to start a thread about reporting on functional impact.

1/
The CATALISE consortium papers do not stipulate cut off points on assessments (language ability is continuous). It does call for information to be collected from multiple sources: caregiver report, observation, standardised Ax (across domains), language learning context etc

2/
Some data that would be helpful to demonstrate a functional impact when reporting on participants w #DevLangDis in studies could include:
- history of speech and language services
- impact on academic achievement
- reduced social-emotional participation

3/
What else do you think could be reported on in studies to help describe functional impact of #DevLangDis on the population?
