In 2018, Iowa State Auditor (and amazingly, twitter mutual!) @RobSandIA defeated incumbent Republican @MaryMosiman by about 4.5 points. He did fairly well across the state, especially given that it is rare for a statewide Democrat to win these days.

Sand outran Biden pretty much everywhere in the state - he overperformed in every county except Story and Montgomery. To get a better idea of where Sand had more electoral strength, we can look at the relative margin (how much Sand outperformed Biden relative to the state).
