Temples dedicated to Surya Dev were some of the strongest Central places of worship
They were also amongst some of the worst hit ones during invasions
Why?
Because when you hit a person's belief you can conquer easily.

We still follow a few daily Rituals as offering and prayers to the Sun God.

We offer 'jal' in the morning

We practice 'Surya Namaskaram'

We recite the 'Surya Mantra'

Also, scientifically speaking ,who doesn't know the importance of the Sun?
Our ancestors knew millennials ago
The Sun is the central body of the Solar System
Life is possible on earth because of the Sun (accurate distance)

Surya Dev is sacred in Hinduism from the time of Vedas to Mahabharata and till today.

Many civilizations, most of which have ceased to exist, also prayed to
The sun God

Hinduism is not only one of the oldest but also one of the most scientific practices to exist.
