I'll say it again: people who hate government should not govern. Government is not and should never be a means of protecting and perpetuating personal fiefdoms.

There has to be a good way of explaining this to those who vote conservative. Their policies will never benefit the public as a whole. It won't do much for the working class or to lift those on the margins.

And whatever they offer comes with huge negative costs: grift, graft, cronyism, corruption, double standards, crassness, racism, etc.

Their biggest appeal to those who buy their shit is that they are fiscally responsible. But the evidence does not bear that out. They are more wasteful. I just don't get it.

What pisses me off most is the wacky logic of getting into government to destroy everything government should stand for.
