His style of production humanising the MPC3000 and putting such raw and vivid emotion into every sample is the greatest artistic skills of all time. his impact remains relevant today and

The main thing I take away from learning more about Dilla is not Just that he was a genius or made music that changed lives but that he was such a genuine and passionate person. J dilla was a beam of light to the people around him and his impact is evident.
Despite not having been around during the main part of his career the fact that I’ve found something so beautiful and comforting which means so much to me is such an amazing thing I’m eternally greatful for.
Just from reading and watching people talk about J dilla I can’t really tell how humble kind and genuine he was a person. With his passion and work ethic lifting up everyone around him
On the 10th of February 2006 J dilla passed 3 days after the release of donuts. Such a sad yet Beautiful piece of music which really hits the heart. One of the greatest artistic expressions ever as in his final moments he continued to work and finish Donuts from a hospital bed
A truly dark yet beautiful piece of music which is timeless and continues to hit the soul with every spin.
In the aftermath his death His MPC 3000 the machine he used to revolutionise sampling and Lo fi hip hop was added To The National museum of African American history. Which is truly telling of his importance influence and how his music shaped the genre.
