(GINTAMA THREAD)

One thing that I love in particular that Sorachi conveyed in Gintama is how important the cast is. He makes most of his characters grow in different ways, whether it's character arcs or standalone episodes, but they contribute to so much more.

I feel like the biggest thing Sorachi wanted to do is make Gintoki not feel alone in the world he lives in. Gintoki is a character, who in the beginning, did not really trust many people, living with no home and was isolated until Shouyo was able to endorse him into his dojo.

Gintoki was able to then bond with many of his fellow students as well as bond to the person most close to him, Shouyo, and learn the way of the samurai. Unfortunately, events took part and led Gintoki into a world filled with hatred and traumatic experiences. He got burdens.

Shinpachi, Kagura, Sadaharu, and the other cast members are very important to the story. As Gintoki did not want anybody to follow him because he's afraid of the mindset of not protecting anyone he cares for, these characters grow with Gintoki, making him stronger and resilient.

You could say that he did not lose anything, but actually gained something. Gintoki became braver, swearing he wouldn't run away or lose, from his enemy or even himself. These characters gave him a new meaning to his name, meeting all these people, Gintoki became such a person.

Not only did these characters influence Gintoki, they were influenced by Gintoki as well. The bonds that Gintoki shared with these characters, giving them lessons and sharing thoughts, really made these characters grow alongside Gintoki. Sorachi just brilliantly evolves his cast.

I just love this because of the fact that this makes the whole cast relevant to the series. There was meaning behind all these episodes and this is what it was brought up to. This is without a doubt, one of my favorite casts from a series and some of my favorite cast work in one.

I just can't get enough how much I love this series. There's just so much I love about it that i get so passionate talking about things like this and I just wanted to share this with you guys. I really wanted to get this out here to share and thank you guys so much for reading!
