I hope Congress and the Department of Education under Biden mandate nationwide CIVICS CLASSES as part of every single school curriculum.

I think we now know national security depends on it.
CIVICS needs to include political philosophy - how America merged 3 systems - Monarchy, Democracy, and (I believe) the Hebraic concept of the Wise Council - to end up with the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary branches. And why the Founders set them up for checks & balances.
Every educated American needs to understand why the Constitution was designed the way it was - that the Founders had in mind recent events such as religious wars, witch burning, COVERT ACTIONS BY FOREIGN POWERS, and a King who abused institutions.
Most of all, civics classes need to impart that DEMOCRACY IS FRAGILE, AND IF WE ARE NOT CONSTANTLY VIGILANT, IT WILL COLLAPSE OR ENEMIES WILL TRY TO DESTROY IT.

And that each citizen bears responsibility to this nation in addition to their rights.
