The brexit business ppl from sectors from fishing to Curry house owners to farming....all were targeted by the Vote Leave campaign offering them something (everything) that their own industry would want. Something specific. 1.
The fishers thought they'd be able to seize back sold fishing rights (!?) and be able to fish the waters to death and still be able to sell to the EU. 2.
Curry houses were told they'd be drowning in visas for trained curry chefs from the Indian sub continent. 3.
Farmers were told they'd still get subsidised but they'd be able to cut red tape (use those pesticides). 4.
Vote Leave played in selfishness and gullibility. These are traits that are not uncommon in leavers generally. 5.
None of the business people who voted leave had the tiniest consideration for jobs or livelihoods outside of their own sphere. Nor have they shown the slightest understanding of what industries act as the engines for our whole economy. 6.
The curry industry realised almost immediately after the result came in that Patel, one of their own community, had conned them. 7.
And now we have to wait for the rest of them to work out they crucified themselves, and those in their industry who were much better informed, because of their own selfishness.... dragging us all down with them
Special mention for this utter gent who actually had rational reasons and tried to put things right by working for a people's vote. You @khanoli are forgiven
