Just so were clear: DSA national surveyed members about FTV and found only 20 members in support. FTV held a rally today (which Metro DC DSA included a notice on in our weekly digest) and only about two dozen people came.
DSA isn't holding FTV back. The energy just isn't there. https://twitter.com/briebriejoy/status/1345450382387011587

Even after the unhinged criticism against DSA of somehow not being in favor of M4A bc leaders felt there was no real plan, we still did what member orgs do and gauged support from members. The energy isn't there for the same reason many have been critical: there's no real plan.
Theres been enough examples of this to last a lifetime but it still bears repeating: working people aren't stupid. They are incredibly savvy about what tactics to get behind and when and aren't very interested in performance art politics. Movements can't be generated from above.
