If you’re a healthy 21-year-old, your odds of dying from Covid-19 are about 1 in 100,000 — if you even get Covid-19 in the first place.

But if you’re 21 with a preexisting condition, might as well be a healthy 60 year old as far as Covid-19 risk is concerned.
If you’re the parent of a 15-year-old with no preexisting conditions, your child’s chances of dying from Covid-19 (if they even get it) is about 1 in 100,000.

If your child is under 11 years old, the odds are literally 1 in a million.

On the other hand, if
you’re 60 years old with a heart condition. Your odds of dying from Covid-19 are approximately 1 in 100.
So healthy people age 61 and younger are not at risk, and neither are people with preexisting conditions age 26 and younger.

People over age 61 need to be careful, and so do people over the age of 26 who have preexisting conditions.
The problem is the number of people with co-morbities is actually very high looking at the US, probably similar in the UK.

US - 50% of 50 year-old's have one or more co-morbities.
US - 32% of 40 year-old's have one or more co-morbities.
