So all the bad covid things me & others were shouting about in the 2 weeks before Xmas are happening & continuing to worsen. And the govt... Is doing nothing. Just the same incremental strategy that has never worked & won't work now. Given situation, opening schools is madness.

No press conferences, no public messaging about the (full) symptom list, no more money to help.people isolate, no more support for devastated businesses and individuals, no support for schools or disadvantaged pupils for online learning. No explanation of vaccine changes. Nothing

This is what is it like to be abandoned by the state. The cabinet is not worthy of the name, abdicating their responsibility for leadership, honesty and difficult decisions just when it is needed most.
I find it hard to forgive.
