I’ve clearly struck a nerve with some anonymous accounts in #bced. Here’s a tough bit of honest analysis. Unfortunately, i think a lot of you are now in an echo chamber with media/politicos tuning out. It’s hard. I get it. There are big problems. But also better ways.

Enagement with the media and politicos needs to be more nuanced and personal. Build a relationship with the actual person, not just barrage them on Twitter. Fastest way to MUTE. You can engage in much more informative and meangingful ways.

I often tell people training to be a spokesperson:

We don’t always need people to raise a fist and yell in agreement. Most of the time, we need them to nod along in agreement. That autonomic response is PR gold.
