This is, of course, a garbage chart, and by all means dunk on this man.

At the same time, let's also dunk on whatever the hell "AllSides" is and the deeper myth of the left-right media continuum. Please take the time to deconstruct whatever the phrase "media bias" obscures. https://twitter.com/pmddomingos/status/1345173350247616513
Media bias (like the use of "bias" in ML) implies that there is some mythical "unbiased" news. Doing some nebulous cognitive averaging across sources isn't going to get you there, because there doesn't exist.
There's plenty of great uses of the term "media bias", lots of it coming from social movement scholarship. My favorite treatment of this is from @engagedscholar, in his book on media treatment of the Black Panther Party.

The larger point of this book is, pace quant-y event data scholarship that defines media bias as "missing events", different media sources tell different narratives of the BPP, which roughly line along a 2D space of authority and proximity to Oakland.
In that case, bias is relative to a specific organization. The NYT is most aligned with authority and furthest from Oakland.

Bias is relative to some specified object or group.
anyhow I didn't mean to turn this into a thread

tl;dr: don't be like Pedro, read comm scholarship, stop using bias as a catch-all for "we missed some stuff"
