I have grown in a house where I have seen my Nanaji enjoying chopping vegetables, cooking occasionally
My father cleaning the washrooms and making bed everyday
My uncle getting his daughter ready for school, making her hair pleats
Other uncle cleaning his room

Why do we have to make such fuss about cooking and cleaning and calling it a women's work?
It's all basic lifestyle skills,my brother is a better cook than me and I am proud of it.
Why relate it to something women have to do and especially after marriage?
Why this pressure?

Since morning people are after @belikedolly for calling out a stupid post. I agree she might have called out a profession which isn't in good taste but her views on everyone knowing the basic skills and unnecessary pressure on women to cook and clean is right

I believe if my Nana, Papa and Uncle can help in house so can my husband and my brother.
The house is shared by both so the responsibility should also be of both
Why burden one with added expectations?
I am glad I am surrounded by men who have set examples for their children

My Father in Law also helps my Mother in Law in washing clothes and ironing them and setting table for dinner
So does both his sons, my husband and his brother both help at home
Boys should learn from such men around them and be a better person than expecting everything from wife
