I finished hacking together another airgapped DIY #bitcoin hardware wallet, this time from @BlockchainComns @KenSedgwick @gorazdko
It took all my skills from previous my DIY hww's, plus learning a new one 🪛🔥
Below are a compilation of photos of how I got there with the hw👇 https://twitter.com/DIYbitcoin/status/1273087276877320192
Embarking on the assembly journey by starting with some soldering, which is the new skill I learned, of the rocker switch and the SAMD51 board from @sparkfun
https://github.com/BlockchainCommons/bc-lethekit/blob/master/doc/assembly.md

I found the tool shown below with the finished rocker switch worked great for prepping the wires
Getting the SAMD51 board connected with the wires in their correct places, and then twist tying the cables together
Attaching the keypad
Screwing in the @waveshare00 e-paper module

I found it helpful to screw in the tiny screws by picking up the screw first as show below
Shortening LEDs
Inserting the 🟢+🔵 LEDs, and prepping the cables from the board to be connected to the LEDs
Snapping the rocker switch in and placing the lithium battery🔋with it's protective plastic shield, before connecting it to the board
Screwing in the board, and connecting the LEDs🪛
Finally it's time to plug in the battery, and finish putting it together with the remaining casing piece👷
Then the LetheKit installation instructions need to be followed in order to flash the board and make it come alive! https://github.com/BlockchainCommons/bc-lethekit/blob/master/doc/installation.md
The Arudino IDE @visual_ino @arduino like in my other DIY hww's, is used to help upload the code so it can be flashed onto the board👇
Before flashing the board with the seedtool app, and after installing all the correct libraries for the board, you must enter it into bootloader mode👀
Once flashed successfully your device will become alive!

To see what it can do, check out this video:
So after putting it together, grab some casino grade dice, maybe from @CypherSafe, and after some 🎲 rolls and mixing in hardware entropy you can generate your own truly random seed #TRNG

I look forward to testing out the Animated QR and exporting descriptor features with @SparrowWallet @SpecterWallet @nunchuk_io @FullyNoded
That wraps up this thread of my latest DIY adventure!🦾

Credit to @arcbtc for providing the inspiration for the project, and to @SeedSigner for the 3D printed case👏
