proof of seokjin’s nine types of intelligence — a thread
1 - linguistic intelligence. finding the right words to express what you mean.

this is especially obvious when seokjin gives speeches. he always expresses himself clearly and concisely
another example is his 2019 MAMA speech. he addressed an extremely sensitive topic regarding chart manipulation, but did it diplomatically and clearly, highlighting the value of listening and making good music.
his linguistic intelligence also shines through in his lyrics.
the messages he's able to convey are always complex but expressed artistically.
2 - bodily kinesthetic. coordinating your mind with your body

seokjin is incredibly coordinated, which shows through in subtle moves like this which requires a lot of strength. lifting your entire body up on one arm so fluidly is very difficult.
seokjin is super athletic. the core strength required to pull off this move is insane
also he’s an incredible dancer. being able to sing live and execute difficult movements like this is proof of how good he is at coordinating his movements
3 - interpersonal. sensing people’s feelings and motives

seokjin is known to be a very kind person, to the point where he’s been nicknamed the “manner idol” by others in the industry for his kind personality.
for example, when he saw jobin of norazo dancing at the back of the stage all dressed up, he pulled him to the front. jobin later said that he was thankful to seokjin
when rapper sleepy (a friend of seokjin’s), has financial troubles, he mentioned that seokjin offered him help but in such a polite way to make sure sleepy wouldn’t be offended.
he’s also known to easily become shy, but he always puts himself out there to “break the ice”. in the flower run episode, seokjin acted funny on purpose to make the show entertaining but later apologised to the florist to ensure that he wasn’t offended.
4 - existential. tackling the questions of why we live, and why we die

seokjin has a clear life philosophy. whenever he’s asked about how he lives life, he always teaches us to not think too much and live in the moment
namjoon has even once said that one of his quotes was inspired by what seokjin said to him in a conversation once, when seokjin said - “he uses other people to become happy.”
his favourite class in school was philosophy of life and death.
5 - logical mathematics. quantifying things, making hypotheses and proving them

in run episodes that require lots of thinking and analysis, e.g the escape room episode, seokjin always does really well.
he’s also excellent at puzzles and mind games
he’s so smart that he entered konkuk university, which has a 0.05% acceptance rate, and was one of the first in his entire school to be accepted. he finished his degree even while debuting with bts.
5 - musical. discerning sounds, their pitch, tone, rhythm and timbre.

seokjin is an excellent songwriter. he said that he wrote the melody of “tonight” himself
even when recording with the producer, he was able to improvise an ad-lib on the spot but could also identify that the timing of the recording was a little off before the producer corrected it.
it also shines through in his dancing - he’s able to hit every single beat on-rhythm even in complicated and quick songs like ON
7 - naturalist. understanding living things and reading nature.

this is the most obvious during his appearance on the show “law of the jungle”, where he and other celebrities had to survive without help in a jungle! he fished using an army b*mb?
he also kept sugar gliders - odeng and eomuk - as pets, and sugar gliders are notoriously difficult animals to keep because of how easily anxious they get. but as you can see they trusted him completely and loved him too
8 - spatial. visualising the world in 3d

seokjin’s painting in the soop was very unique, the way he painted it proves that he has an interesting perspective on art,, and the fact that bts hung it behind them during a dynamite performance?
9 - intra-personal. understanding yourself, what you feel, and what you want

this becomes obvious when you analyse the progression from awake to epiphany. in awake, he felt he wasn’t enough, but in epiphany, he understood that loving oneself is the most important.
the lyrics to abyss… he said he wrote it after feeling burnout, and said that he wanted to be honest about how he felt.
