Other fans breaking a canon ship for their own shipping preferences and enjoyment doesn't threaten or diminish it in any way. People will create for any pairing, and any dynamic. It's okay, I promise—enjoy the content you like, ignore stuff you don't, dldr.
A small stall setting up shop in the same fandom square selling different kinds of side pair or rarepair food isn't going to make a dent in your sprawling economy rice stall with over 200 dishes of varying flavours of your canon ship. You'll still have plenty of food!
If you are really upset by side pairs & rare pairs & see them as competition, I'm afraid I have bad news which is that no matter what fandom you're in, whether it's in anime or danmei or movies, there'll always be little small side pair and rarepair stalls mushrooming. Always.
You're not interdependent in any way, and most people who ship & create food for diff pairings keep to their respective stalls. On break, sometimes they may even wander over to your canon ship's food! And cross-promote. I think that's a great place to be in.
If you don't like other food because you're very much a stan for your OTP, that's OK. You don't have to consume them in any way or even perceive them. Create & eat your own food. Just don't sabotage or attack others for creating the content to begin with, they have the right to.
