...which David Cameron wouldn’t have been able to deliver. Within a few months, he’d have been forced out. The Conservative Party would’ve gone for the leading Eurosceptic candidate promising that looser relationship. So Boris Johnson would’ve become PM in 2017. /2
He too wouldn’t have been able to renegotiate a looser relationship within the EU. My guess is that in response he’d have gone to the country and won a General Election promising another In/Out referendum. /3
