How do i be more consistent?
I can never read a full book no matter how good be the book is.
I don’t find enough time due to workload.
I read too slow.

I am making an effort here to address these queries & pen down few practical tips to make you all fall in love with books:

Firstly know that Islam and all other world religions emphasise on seeking knowledge. It is obligatory on us to expand knowledge bank. So always keep an intention of seeking knowledge with a view to know about the true self and the Almighty, the creator, Allah.

Secondly do not pick up wrong book, an unsuitable lengthy dry book may make you averse to reading, therefore consult someone and get books as per your interest and thus avoid force reading any dry , irrelevant books.

Thirdly make optimum use of short free pockets of time available, never wait for free time. Fourthly regularly purchase books & start building your own personal library at workplace /home. It will give you more opportunities to select book as per your mood swings & requirements.

Fifthly never force remember anything,even if you forcefully retain data, you will forget subsequently, just enjoy happy reading & forget about the feeling that you don’t recall anything. Remember that every single book transforms you & nourishes you.

Sixthly share your knowledge, books choices with peers and discuss books. Seventhly, join good reading apps, like good reads, avid reader accounts on social media and it will help you grow your love for the books.

Eighthly, if a book gets dry, do not force complete it, leave it and pick up next one. Lastly set your goals to finish a book every week, compete and discuss with your acquaintances and keep reading.

Sooner, you will fall in love with books, and yes, as regards speed reading learn the art of skimming, where you find the writer has gone bit off the mark or is getting drier skim those pages, never move lips while reading, bit eyes only.

It might also help you to speed read and finish every book you pick up. Let’s inspire and encourage each other to read more books and become a useful member of the society.

And next time if someone asks you what have you done for Pakistan, you must proudly reply that you have made fellow Pakistanis fall in love with the books.
