For those of you that want a #sober #January here are some things I have learnt.
It helps to understand why you enjoy the ritual of a drink - to end the work day, to give yourself a pat on the back, or to cope with a hard day.
If you can figure that it makes the changes easier, which makes it easier not to drink alcohol.
You can still have the ritual of an evening drink but with a non-alcoholic alt, or you can have an evening walk to end the work day.
You might want to take up a craft, or meditate, or phone a friend.
If you end up drinking one night, don’t worry too much, there is always tomorrow.
Finally I have loved this book to help find fun alternatives to hard liquor. #soberjanuary
