Start of with a standard PLAX view. From here it is a subtle movement: tilt the tail down towards the left shoulder so that the transducer is pointing more towards the right hip. Here is the movement.
Here is a side by side of the movement from PLAX to RV inflow and what you see on echo.
For anyone beginning in echo, this view is good to be aware of as sometimes when you attempt PLAX you get this view instead. To ‘correct yourself it is just a reversal of the above described movement.
Here is the anatomy at the RV inflow view. Useful to look at RV/RA sizes, TV leaflets, TR and lines up well for Doppler and RVSP calculations!
