This is what makes Luke a symbolically important character in our culture, and why people react so strongly to how he is presented in new stories.
They want to believe that is possible for someone to be driven completely by care & concern for others with no selfish ambition. https://twitter.com/HamillHimself/status/1344737204271124481
Unlike Anakin, Luke seems to never really care about his status. Unlike Rey, he's not preoccupied with self-discovery. He just wants to rescue those in need. His only "weakness" that Yoda/Obi Wan express concern about is that he cares too much...
but ol Ben Kenobi could have used a bit of Luke's heart instead of just watching his best friend & "brother" be burned alive on Mustafar after cutting off his legs.
