Modern people are in love with the idea that they are sick. They love being able to say they have a chronic illness or a mental disorder of some kind. Most people are so pathetic that I guess this is the only way they can feel "special" in the world. It's disgusting.
Imma sit here and wait for all the perpetually "sick" people to come and tell me how much they are suffering. You know what? Everything in life is hard. It's hard to be unhealthy and it's hard to become/stay healthy. You choose your hard. And if you choose to be sick, that's on u
I don't need to "live your experience" to know what I'm talking about. I used to have a zillion different conditions that I allowed to define me. I nearly died on several occasions. Guess what? I got my shit together, stopped listening to quacks, and took control of my health.
No it wasn't easy to do. It took me a few years. But I actually know very well what it is to be a chronically sick person and what it is to be over-identified with being unwell because I used to be like that. But hey, continue ur love affair with being sick if that's what u want
If you're chronically unwell, maybe ask yourself what short term benefits you get from that. Just because you're suffering doesn't mean you aren't extracting psychological benefits from it. Most people probably don't have the self awareness to do such an exercise, however.
A lot of you are so invested in your victim identity that you wouldn't even know who you are anymore if that was taken away from you. Don't you see the prison you've created for yourself by making your illnesses a key part of how you see yourself?
