Things that work for me thread #lucky #thanks
My 1946 Schwinn "Ladies" Bicycle. It's a great but heavy (heavy is a state of mind, I don't even notice it after riding it for over 5 years) commuter &heck it's even more fun to ride around w/it after the 2020 retrofit of hub dynamo, new tires, shimano nexus internal hub gears.
My Canon EOS RP. Low Price and Low weight are features. Plus it works with 100s of legacy EF lenses like the amazing EF 100-300mm USM Zoom. In a few years I'll "upgrade" to a heavier Canon mirrorless body with IS but too much $ for now!
The Nox 39g bluetooth speaker clipped to my collar plus the iOS volumatic app means speed sensitive music that I can hear but doesn't bother others, perfect!
My 1996 Fischer 1996 Classic Cross country skis with fish scales i.e. waxless. Still work great! I use them at the beginning of the season as my "rock skis". Skied with them 4 times this season and then switched to my skin classic and my skate skis.
My Nikon 1 V2 with GPS and 30-110mm zoom. I took many 1000s of photos as pandemic wave 1 "shutter therapy". Price ($600 for it all) and weight are a feature and the image quality is more than good enough.
RNI Films iOS app. Best and easiest to use Black and White film filter app (I'm sure other apps are great too). I use it for all my black and white conversions for all my cameras (Olympus E-M1, Nikon 1 V2, Canon EOS RP, iPhone SE 2020, etc).
My Lumos Matrix Helmet. If you are going to wear a helmet, you might as well have turn signals too! And custom text! It's fun to ride around with my helmet displaying "THANK YOU HEALTH CARE WORKERS!"
Art if Where's amazing custom tights. I have made 7 of them now and love them all. Who needs "hard pants" :-) ?!?
