Honestly a more conservative approach to techno-multiculturalism seems to be the most likely process for most places. Like cities it would be buying time: immigration, culture blending and mixing, and ultra-global-connection and communication would all escalate in a slow burn. /1 https://twitter.com/AliceBrachyura/status/1344796459066015745
This doesn’t do anything to stop the end result completely tho, meaning that there’s still the question of what will happen after. A continuing mutation of culture? The death of most societies due to a lack of the ability to further consume time? It really does seem like the /2
ultimate spreading out of energy that would lead to heat death of human civilization. However, it might be possible that new structures could be built out of this decay and out of the decay even from long before it, like how a building is built out of disordered materials. /3
Tbh I’m tired and my brain still feels weird after last night so idk if this is actually a good thread or not
