I'll start off with this, our 2020 social growth visualized.

Through organic social and brand building we were able to gain nearly 75,000 followers across all our social platforms.
This thread will be more of a dump of memories and activations throughout the year that contributed to this growth rather than a strategy breakdown. The overarching strategy is simple though. 🏆

Brand Matters and Community Matters.
I won't even begin to try to tag everyone but shoutout to all of the amazing brands, organizations, teams, content creators, and more that allowed us to achieve this growth in 2020.

None of it would be possible without all of you. ❤️
We're going to focus primarily on Twitter since it is our largest platform for the brand.

We went from starting the year with under 20K followers on Twitter to finishing with over 50K. All through organic social media and brand/community building. 🚀
At the end of January, we hit 20K followers. This is how we celebrated - a competition where you would guess a random number for a chance to win a chair. ❓

We had nearly 5,000 guesses come in for a chance to win.
We got to partner with @Streamlabs to give some of their partners the opportunity to get a free chair upgrade via the Streamlabs Loyalty Program. ⬆️
Something fun that we did in April. We would giveaway a chair to whoever could quote tweet us and get 3,000 retweets - five people were given the opportunity to win.

Over 1,500 Quote Tweets. Viral Effect.
We teased RESPAWN Recruits for the first time in May, a recruitment challenge where you were given the opportunity to try to "win" a RESPAWN Setup + Partnership.

I see these type of competitions becoming even more popular moving forward due to the success of #FAZE5 .
Say RESPAWN Products 25,000 Times. 📢

Congratulations to those that said "RESPAWN Products" 25,000 times on their stream in exchange for a free chair/desk. I believe it took about 14 hours to accomplish.

The grind is real.
We also teased the launch of the RESPAWN Specter in June. An affordable, full mesh, ergonomic gaming chair.

I was very fortunate to be involved in the development, naming, and launch of this product. The community seemed excited for this. 👻
At the end of June, we announced one of our other chair launches, the RESPAWN Sidewinder. A new look upholstered gaming chair (no racecar bucket seat).

The very next day after the RESPAWN Sidewinder announcement, we announced RESPAWN Recruits.

A huge hit and a staple for the RESPAWN brand for years to come. Congratulations to all of the winners in 2020, it is only going to get bigger in 2021 with Cash Prizes + Sponsorships. 💰
About halfway through the year, we were close to hitting 30K followers (after just hitting 20K in January) so we launched 'Guess the Number' again - this time with the opportunity to win a desk rather than a chair.
Herman Miller x Logitech announced their collaborative chair in July. We felt the feedback for their pricepoint turned off a few consumers.

We took this opportunity to do a launch the same day and reveal the RESPAWN Specter to the world at a $299.99 pricepoint. Over 2K Retweets.
We earned our spot at the table in August. Beating out other brands like Herman Miller, SecretLab, and others to be chosen as the only furniture provider within the @esportsawards Esports Hardware Provider of the Year category. 🏆
In September we announced the second iteration of RESPAWN Recruits. Giving more content creators the opportunity to win an entire setup and partners of the RESPAWN brand. 🪑
October 🎃

Partnered with @GamersOutreach / @KARNAGEClan to raise over $8,500 and put GO Kart gaming kiosks into hospitals.
Could we connect with a superstar for an organic social interaction? ⭐️

Collegiate and High School esports has always been a huge focus for us so we partnered with @eFuseOfficial and @NACEsports to give back to the programs that needed it most.
After giving back to the collegiate and high school scene, we gave back to those within the RESPAWN community.

Over 5K Retweets and 8K Likes as we gave away 60 Gaming Chairs.
The biggest giveaway of all was when we partnered with Fortnite World Cup Winner, @Bugha to give back to his community through two unique stream activations in which we gave away chairs for wins and eliminations in game.

We were able to giveaway over 500 chairs together!
We tried a unique strategy for Black Friday this year, a 'secret' sale that only our social followers were made aware of. The sale was not advertised at all anywhere other than social.

A successful activation in a year where everyone is trying to upgrade their at-home setups.
We finished off the year by aiming to get over 1,000 people to respond 'Chair' to our tweet. This will roll into one of our plans for 2021, tweeting 'chair' every single day of the year and tracking how many likes it gets.
