Black music is not monolithic. HOWEVER, don't do a full 180 on your original sound, style and demo and then be like "How come he don't want me, Uncle Phil?"
AND ALSO most of them BEP joints do NOT HOLD UP. Funny how that happens with formulas. Will's incredibly talented, but BEP's massive success was about catchy songs, not GOOD songs.
That actually just pissed me off. He wasn't saying shit about not being considered a Black group during that '00s stadium and club hits streak. Don't be concerned with that now that we're cycling back to the importance and soul of Black music.
