In 2000, the Republican Party orchestrated a violent riot in Florida to keep votes from being counted. It worked.

While not *very* concerned, I'm at least *somewhat* concerned that Trump is orchestrating a "wild" protest in DC as electoral votes are being tallied in the Capitol.

The *very hypothetical* concern is an effort to get fake certificates from the 7 fake slates of Trump "electors" into Congress so Pence can claim there are "competing" slates of electors. The rioters would then try to intimidate Congress into voting for Trump's fraudulent slates.

Logistically speaking, this cannot and will not happen—and it certainly would be 100% illegal—but I believe there is a discussion happening on the far right about whether this could be orchestrated. But I expect the vote in Congress to proceed exactly as anticipated on January 6.

The main thing is to not confuse "scenario planning" with *prediction*. Federal law enforcement and Congress must be aware of the various deranged scenarios Trump supporters might wish to advance without falsely thinking any of them have a chance of success. The same goes for us.
