1. The #ZeroCovid #Ireland nonsense needs to stop. I was it's biggest advocate when it mattered. Back when HSE still only listed travel to #china as a risk despite clusters all over EU. Back when our nations talking science heads told us masks weren't necessary

2. Back when @LeoVaradkar said travel bans and mandatory supervised quarantine didn't work. We had a window. We missed it. #ZeroCovid #Ireland.. Talk about not being able to read a room..

There is 0 political appetite and no capacities to sustain elimination and suppression

3. #australia and #china are not proof of principle. Both are individual case studies with independent variables and do not serve as a model for ireland

Cyclical lockdowns were always on the cards and something i called out in @EchoChambersPod .

4. Don't even talk to me about the most important component of any public health strategy. The Public. WE ARE TIRED.

#ZeroCovid can only work if force. We know any compliance issues and the whole system fails.

5. Apathy and an expectation of an end has been driving compliance in #Ireland. Technical feasibility does not imply something is practically implementable.

6. Most importantly #ZeroCovid doesn't even work. #Beijing #shenyang #urumqi #sydney now all experiencing resurgences and back under lockdown...
